How to Draw Wheels from Boxtrolls in Easy Steps Drawing Tutorial

Today, I will show you how to draw Wheels from the new movie, Boxtrolls. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I plan to. I will guide you thru the process of drawing wheels with basic geometric shapes, letters, and numbers. You will be an expert at drawing Wheels in no time!

How to Draw Wheels from Boxtrolls in Simple Steps by Step Drawing Lesson

Step 1

– Lightly draw a square with lines pointed towards the left…as if you are drawing a box.

Step 2

– Draw 2 lines closing the box into a 3d cube.

Step 3

– Draw an oval on the right side of the box.

– Draw a capital letter ‘D’-like shape at the top of the box.

Step 4

– Draw a sideways, capital letter ‘D’ shape for the head.

– Draw a bubble shaped #7 for the arm.

– Draw an oval for one of the wheels.

Step 5

– Draw a letter ‘D’ and ‘B’ shaped ears.

– Draw guidelines on the face to help place the facial features correctly.

– Draw 2 wiggly lines coming out of the left side of the box.

– Draw wiggly lines on the right arm…also draw a #3-like shape for fingers.

– Draw upside down ?-like shapes on the bottom of the box, near the wheel.

Step 6

– Draw oval guide on left arm.

– Draw lines in the right ear.

– Draw nose and mouth.

– Draw letter ‘s’ shape on the left hand.

– Draw letter ‘Y’ shapes in the right arm.

– Draw #5 shape on the left foot and a #3 on the right foot. Draw a letter ‘z’-like shape at the top of the right leg.

Step 7

– Draw a #9 and a letter ‘e’ eye.

– Draw a sideways letter ‘J’ shape at top of the mouth.

– Draw fingers on the left hand.

– Draw lines on the right arm for bandages.

– Draw oval on wheel.

– Draw upside down ?-like shape on the right foot.

Step 8

– Draw details in the face.

– Draw letter ‘u’ shaped teeth and draw a curved line for the bottom lip.

– Draw 2 ovals for the inner wheel.

– Draw a sideways, capital letter ‘D’ in the center of the wheel.

– Draw ‘D’ shaped nails on the feet.

– Finish up the left arm / hand.

Step 9

– Draw a #3-like shape on the left hand and draw more bandages on arm.

– Draw ovals in the eyes, a rectangle tooth in the mouth, and a #3-shaped tongue.

– Draw letter ‘D’ shaped nails….and one of them is shaped like a #9.

– Finish up the right foot and wheel.

Step 10

– Finish up the left hand.

– Draw letter ‘m’ shape in the mouth.

– Start adding spokes on the wheel.

Step 11

– Draw letter ‘u’ shaped tongue.

– Draw more spokes in the wheel.

– Draw the edges of the box.

Step 12

– The last spokes are shaped like a letter ‘Y’ and ‘X’.

– Now erase any remaining guidelines and darken lines that need it…also add shadows in the holes of the box and in the mouth.
