How to Draw Sparky from Boxtrolls in Simple Steps  Drawing Lesson

Step 1

– Lightly draw part of a rectangle…as seen above.

– Draw an oval over it.

Step 2

– Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the head.

– Draw guidelines thru it (to help place facial features later).

– Draw lines pointed away from the rectangle.

Step 3

– Finish drawing the back of the rectangle box.

– Draw eyes and nose in the face.

– Draw letter ‘Y’-like shapes for the arms.

Step 4

– Draw a curved arrow for the mouth.

– Draw ovals in the face.

– Finish the arms.

– Draw 2 curved lines in the chest area.

– Draw the bottoms of the arms.

Step 5

– Draw letter ‘s’-like shape above the eye and thru the nose.

– Draw sideways letter ‘A’ shapes for ears.

– Draw a sideways, capital letter ‘D’ shape for the mouth.

– Draw #9 shape on the left hand and a #9-like shape and a ?-like shape on the right hand.

– Draw a #8-like shape on the right side of his body.

– Draw a rectangle in the body, as well as a few lines.

Step 6

– Draw a letter ‘s’-like curve in the ears and in the mouth.

– Draw a curved line on the head and in the mouth.

– Draw lines in the body.

– Draw a sideways #8-like shape in the left hand.

Step 7

– Draw some basic oval-shapes in the mouth for teeth…also draw sideways #7-like shapes and one sideways letter ‘s’ curve too.

– Draw some letter ‘z’-shaped zig-zags in the box.

– Draw a few other basic shapes, such as the ovals on the hands.

Step 8

– Draw letter ‘D’ shaped nails (one of the nails is a letter ‘s’ shape though) and Draw a letter ‘D’ shape for the top of the light bulb.

– Draw an upside down letter ‘F’ for the bottom of the light bulb.

– Draw letter ‘N’ shapes to finish off the electric bolts in the box.

– Draw a few more details.

Step 9

– Write the words on the box.

– Draw a sideways letter ‘P’ shape in the light bulb, as well as a wavy line and curvy lines.

– Add a few other details.

Step 10

– Draw an upside down letter ‘A’ shape in the light bulb…as well as a line below it.

– Erase remaining guidelines and thicken or blacken remaining lines or spaces that need it.
